Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts undergoes an institutional accreditation. Today the site visit of ANQA and ASIIN joint expert panel to YSAFA started.
The expert panel has already participated in the presentation of the final works of YSAFA graduates. On May30-June 1 the expert panel will have meetings and discussions with the Rector, vice-rectors of the Academy, heads of Human Resources Management Center, Career Center and Research Center, as well as with the heads of units and chairs, deans, teaching staff and specialists of the Quality Assurance Center.
Within the site visit, the expert panel will also have meetings with the students and graduates of the academy, with employers, will make a review of the resources and will explore the documents.
The head of the expert panel is Vardan Sargsyan, Doctor of Economy, Professor. The other members of the panel are Hans-Christian Brauweiler, Professor at University of Applied Sciences, Zwickau, Longmus Jorg, director of Sustainum - Institute for Sustainable Management and lecturer at Beuth Technical University for Applied Sciences, Herbert Johann Lorenz Gruner, Course director for study programs offered to managers of small- and medium-sized enterprises at the University of St. Gallen, Assistant Professor, Lilit Fljyan, PHD in pedagogy, Assistant Professor at ASPU and Erik Vardanyan, Student at NUACA.
The process is coordinated by ASIIN project manager Arnold Rainer and senior specialist of ANQA Institutional and Program Accreditation Division Varduhi Gyulazyan.
After the site visit, the expert panel will sum up the results and make a report mentioning strengths and weaknesses of the YSAFA. The report will contain also recommendations for further improvement. YSAFA, based on the experts' report, will draw a follow-up plan.
The last stage of the procedure will be the decision making of ANQA Accreditation Committee.
