On October 3-6, within the scope of the institutional accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at Yerevan Regional State College No.1.
The chair of the expert panel Armen Harutyunyan, vice-rector of Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography, Candidate of Arts, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Kristine Hakobyan, deputy director for Educational Activities at Kotayk Regional State College, Narine Hovhannisyan, a teacher at Armenian National Agrarian University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Janik Apanosyan, a third-year student at the Department of Management of Yerevan Regional State College N 2 Named after N. Achemyan. The coordinator of the accreditation process is Anahit Terteryan, a specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division. Prior to the site visit, the expert panel had studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, and the documents attached and carried out a desk review. On the first day of the site visit, the expert panel had meetings with the education institution’s management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of the self-evaluation report, alumni, and employers. For the other days of the site visit, meetings are planned with the heads of chairs, the quality assurance manager, representatives of teachers and students, as well as other stakeholders. The experts will be present at the education institution for a student’s sole performance, and will also conduct class observations and resource observations. “Professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Acting Art", "Directing" and "Culinary Work". The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule. ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation (for two, four, or six years) or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts. Let us note that this is the first accreditation of the Yerevan Regional State College No.1.
