According to different representatives of VET institutions, the process of accreditation and the implementation of self-evaluation helps the educational institution identify its strengths and weaknesses, as well as become more competitive and reliable for external and internal stakeholders, increasing the reputation of the educational institution. The first meeting of the workshop titled "Capacity Development of VET Institutions" took place at ANQA. Representatives of the vocational education institutions that are to be accredited in the near future, take part in ANQA’s workshop, which aims to prepare the institutions for accreditation processes. ANQA Director Ruben Topchyan noted that ANQA expects that the educational institutions submit self-evaluation that are written in plain language, raise issues and point out solutions. In the next part of the online workshop, ANQA’s specialists Meri Barseghyan and Anahit Terteryan presented the stages of the accreditation process, criteria, standards and their guidelines. The workshop is scheduled to last four days, and ANQA, as a result of a joint work with representatives of VET institutions, will try to build the educational institutions’ capacity to conduct self-evaluation, preparing them for the upcoming accreditations.
