On 22-29 April 2009 the representatives of ANQA with the leadership of the Director, Ruben Topchyan, had a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
They became familiar with the educational system of Great Britain in the Middlesex University, particularly with the internal and external quality assurance procedures.
During the visit, the ANQA representatives had meetings also with Nike Haris, a renowned expert in the field of qualification frameworks. The expert introduced his activity in drafting the national qualification framework of Great Britain, as well as the current works in creating the national qualification framework of Netherlands.
The members of the Armenian delegation introduced the reforms of tertiary level implemented in our country. Expert N. Haris noted that in the process of nationalizing the qualification framework, professional unions, as well as meetings and discussions with employees are essential.
To sum up the results of the meeting, a staff discussion took place in ANQA on May 5 to introduce the good practice of British educational system in regard to working out the national qualification framework.
