Varduhi Gyulazyan, head of ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Divsion, was included in the ENQA Leadership Development Programme. This achievement was made possible thanks to the scholarship from the H. Hovnanyan Family Foundation. Launched in 2018, the ENQA Leadership Development Programme is designed for high-potential professional staff in member and affiliate quality assurance agencies. The Programme aims to enhance participants’ leadership skills and competences in the specific context of QA agencies, expose them to up-to-date information and reflection on key developments in the European Higher Education Area and promote international cooperation. Varduhi Gyulazyan has already participated in the seminar I held in Budapest on June 5-7, which was hosted by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB). The seminar focused on the small-group project “Trends and developments in higher education – the context for QA agencies”. The upcoming seminars will take place in Stockholm and Cologne, covering the small-group projects “Organisational culture in higher education” and “Formal and informal leadership in QA agencies”. Varduhi Gyulazyan participates in the small-group project “Use of digital tools, including AI in higher education and quality assurance”, which will be led by Axel Aerden, managing director at NVAO Flanders. Upon completion of the project, the participants will present their research. This leadership project was organised in collaboration with CHEPS – the Center for Higher Education Policy Studies – a research institute at the University of Twente, Netherlands. It includes practical teaching, roleplay and project-based work. Participation in this prestigious project demonstrates Varduhi Gyulazyan's dedication and ANQA’s commitment to enhancing the quality assurance system in Armenia. Congratulations to our partner and sincere thanks to the H. Hovnanian Family Foundation for this forward-looking support.
