On June 17, ANQA held the inaugural session of the newly formed Accreditation Committee, which was led by Kristina Tsaturyan, the chair of ANQA’s Board of Trustees. The agenda included the election of the Accreditation Committee and procedural issues related to its activity and decision-making process. Kristina Tsaturyan thanked the Committee members for their willingness to take on this important mission. During the session, the Committee members unanimously elected Vache Gabrielyan, dean at the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics of the American University of Armenia, as the chair. The Committee members are:
- Vache Gabrielyan, dean at the Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics of the American University of Armenia;
- Anna Yerzinkyan, Secretary at the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia (Art);
- Nora Gevorgyan, head of the Department of World Politics and International Relations of the Armenian-Russian University (International Relations);
- Anna Poladyan, head of the Chair of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Yerevan State University (Biology);
- Aram Saharyan, head of the Chair of Theoretical Physics named after Academician Gurgen Sahakyan of the Yerevan State University (Physics) ;
- Artem Grigoryan, head of the Department of Pathophysiology of the Yerevan State Medical University (Medicine);
- Luiza Militosyan, acting head of the Chair of Pedagogy and Language Teaching Methodology of Brusov State University (Pedagogy);
- Ashot Avetisyan, head of the Chair of "Software Environments" of the Yerevan State College of Informatics (IT) ;
- Meri Sargsyan, deputy director for educational activities at the Yerevan State Base Medical College (Medicine);
- Andreas Melikyan, director of the "Agrobiotechnology Scientific Center" branch of the Armenian National Agrarian University (Agriculture);
- Sona Makichyan, deputy Dean for Science and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology of the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University (Psychology) ;
- Ashot Gyurjinyan, deputy director for Education and Internationalization at the Vanadzor Branch of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia for educational and internationalization;
- Artur Davtyan, undergraduate student at the Applied Statistics and Data Science of the Yerevan State University (IT).
There are 13 Committee members in total. 10 are stakeholders from the higher education system and 3 represent secondary vocational education. The Committee members' term of office is five years.
