On October 6-8, within the framework of the SMARTI program, ANQA participated in capacity-building training at Goris State University. During the meetings, the members of the consortium presented the activities carried out within the framework of the program, shared their experience in setting up EMI centres, got acquainted with the best experience of EMI, discussed the mechanisms for allocating ECTS, and planned further activities.
During the meeting, the participating organizations and the universities emphasized that the goal of the program is not just to teach English, but to teach professional subjects in English and capacity building through it in HEIs.
The SMARTI (Support for Innovative Methodology, Approaches and Tools for Teaching through the Medium of English in order to improve Educational Yield, Sustainability and Internationalization) program is implemented with the support of the European Union within the framework of the Erasmus + "Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education" program. The aim of the program is to promote a change in the system of pedagogic training of university teachers through teaching in English by modernization of curriculum for national and international spectrums.
Within the framework of the program, ANQA provides the program quality assurance strategy together with the consortium member organizations. The quality assurance strategy was already discussed with consortium members on October 5.
