On April 10-14 the specialists of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance conducted external reviews in a number of Georgian, Ukrainian and Belarusian universities.
Within the TEMPUS PICASA project an external review has been carried out at Ilia State University, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, National Metallurgical Academy, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, as well as at the Belarusian State University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
During the site-visit, ANQA specialists have had meetings and discussions with the PICASA project management team in each university, specialists of the external relations department, responsible for the revised academic programs in the scope of the project and students. Review of the documents has also been implemented.
ANQA specialists have also had meetings with the representatives of the ministry of Education of Georgia, Ukraine, and Belarus. During the meetings, the outcomes and achievements of PICASA project have been discussed.
Picasa (Promoting Internationalization of HEIs in Eastern Neighbourhood Countries through Cultural and Structural Adaptations) is a three-year multicounty project. The wider objective is to promote recognition of Eastern Neighbouring Area HE systems - Armenia, Georgia, Belarus, and Ukraine - through development and integration of internationalization dimensions into structural and cultural components of HEIs management.
