On June 26-29, within the scope of the accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at Panos Terlemezian Yerevan State College of Fine Arts.
The chair of the expert panel is Armen Harutyunyan, vice-rector for Development at Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema, Candidate of Arts, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Narine Sirakanyan, head of the programmes of the National Centre for Innovation and Entrepreurship of the RA Ministry of Economy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Hripsime Maronyan, teacher at the Chair of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Art Education, Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan, director of Maronyan Fashion studio. The student expert is Meri Hovsepyan, student at the Department of Acting Art, Yerevan Regional State College No. 1. The coordinator of the expert panel is Meri Barseghyan, specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development and Implementation Division.
Last week, the expert panel conducted resource observation and participated in the students’ state final examinations. Yesterday, on June 26, the first day of the site visit, meetings were held with the institution’s director, deputy directors, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, the governing council, alumni and employers. Today, the expert panel hold “professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Painting”, "Sculpture" and "Design". The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel.
ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the institution’s representatives and experts.
Let us note that this is the first accreditation of the Panos Terlemezian Yerevan State College of Fine Arts.
