On July 5-8, within the scope of the accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at Mkhitar Gosh Armenian Russian International University.
The chair of the expert panel is Asya Simonyan, a teacher at the Chair of Theory and Methods of Physical Training, Shirak State University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences. The members of the expert panel are Hovhannes Grigoryan, YSU’s leading specialist at the Science Policy Department, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor, Vahe Torosyan, head at the Department of Law of the European University of Armenia, secretary of the scientific council of the same university, PhD in Law, Associate Professor. Alexey Kryukov, deputy director for Educational Activity at Kursk State Medical University, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, is included in the process as an international expert. The student-expert is Edgar Manucharyan, chair at the Eurasia International University’s Student Council, a student at the Department of Law. The chair of the expert panel is Anahit Utmazyan, head of ANQA’s Secretariat.
The expert panel has already conducted resource observation, participated in the state final exams and observed students’ work in hospitals. On the first day of the site visit, meetings were held with the HEI’s rector, vice-rectors, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, the governing council, international and local alumni. During the following days, the experts will continue discussions with the HEI’s other stakeholders. Within the scope of the process, “professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "General Medicine”, "Dentistry" and "Law" are also planned. The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the HEI and contains the recommendations of the expert panel.
ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the HEI’s representatives and experts.
