The director of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Ruben Topchyan and head of the YSULSS Chair of English Communication and Translation Kristine Soghikyan met with the lecturers of YSULSS. They introduced the new model of university-employer dialogue, which is currently in the testing phase.
They emphasized that the employer expects to see alumni who know the product life-cycle, have practical and research skills and have a strong sense of responsibility.
Mr. Topchyan said that he didn’t expect all the employer requirements to be included in academic programs immediately. The goal is to make them a subject of discussion among lecturers. As a result, new approaches will be developed, academic programs, teaching and assessment methodologies will be enhanced. Mr. Topchyan expressed confidence that a year later the lecturers will be discussing the effectiveness and further improvement of already applied approaches.
It was also mentioned that ANQA will present the model of university-employer dialogue as a best practice at 12th EQAF.
