Aiming to replenish ANQA’s pool of experts and developing expert capacities in the RA, on March 21-22, ANQA held a training course for VET institutions’ experts, attracting 16 representatives from six institutions.
The discussion focused on how experts should:
- formulate suitable questions in the context of activities carried out by the site visit participants;
- view lesson plans as a strategy for teaching students with different skills and a tool for the continuous development of teaching approaches;
- discover and foster innovation within VET institutions;
- ensure that VET institutions have a teaching strategy guaranteeing student progress;
- combine various datasets, bringing out the sources of problems.
Engaging in practical tasks, the participants also carried out a pilot external review of a given VET institution and presented their considerations and conclusion.
Summarizing the training, ANQA Director R. Topchyan noted that quality assurance entails managing diversity and embracing change, looking for better ways to achieve the intended outcome.
It should be noted that in 2024, ANQA will carry out accreditation of 20 state VET institutions. The trainings will be ongoing.
