The annual wrap-up conference of the TEMPUS MathGeAr project took place in Tbilisi, at the University of Georgia on October 10-12. Anushavan Makaryan, Head of ANQA institutional and program accreditation division and the coordinator of the project in ANQA, also participated in the conference.
During the conference coordinator of the project, Sergey Sasnovsky summed up the activities and results of MathGeAr within this year. The participants also discussed the process of development of Mathbridge usage guidelines, the MathGeAr final report, and other administrative issues.
During the conference, Mr. Makaryan gave a speech on “Plans for sustainability measures of the conducted modernization of math courses in Armenia”.
Within the report, Mr. Makaryan spoke about the modernization of math courses in cooperation with ANQA in Armenian stakeholder universities. He presented the comparative analysis of the programs, teaching and learning methods, learning outcomes and enhancement recommendations provided by ANQA.
The representative of NCEQE from the same perspective presented their activities with Georgian stakeholder universities.
The overall objective of the MathGeAr project is to improve the quality of STEM education in South Caucasian region by modernizing and improving the curricula in the field of Mathematics.
