On April 12, ANQA conducted a monitoring of the internal quality assurance system at the Yerevan Educational Institute of West Ukrainian National University. During the monitoring, observations were made on the implementation level of the internal quality assurance system, its effectiveness and contribution to the enhancement of educational processes. As part of the monitoring, meetings were held with the HEI’s management staff, heads of chairs, academic staff and students.
The main topics of discussion were:
- the academic programmes’ development and alignment in line with the requirements of the Armenian labour market;
- the scope of cooperation with employers in terms of organizing internships and enhancing academic programmes;
- the recruitment and training processes of the academic staff;
- the importance of internal quality assurance system development in terms of data collection and data-driven reforms;
At the end of the meeting, ANQA’s specialists introduced the main areas for enhancement to the HEI’s management staff. An importance was attached to the role of internal quality assurance system in the identification of issues and continuous enhancement of educational processes. Let us note, that the previous monitoring of the internal quality assurance system was conducted at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Yerevan Branch.
