On November 21, ANQA conducted an online monitoring of the internal quality assurance system at the Badeyan State College of Vardenis. The aim was to observe the education institution’s quality assurance processes and the resulting changes.
During the monitoring, meeting discussions were held with the education institution’s management staff, heads of chairs, teachers, students and the quality assurance manager.
The discussions focused on the following issues:
- the activities towards the revision and reform of academic programmes and the evaluation of outcomes;
- the activities towards the embedment of an internal quality assurance system, steps aimed at the formation of a quality culture, the annual plan of quality assurance processes;
- the tools and methodology for identifying and meeting the teacher needs, the actions towards the professional development of the teaching staff, the methodological support offered to them;
- the increase in the internship duration and its impact on effectiveness, the efficient use of employer resources to develop students' professional competences and skills;
- the activities towards the development of external relations and the expansion of the partner network.
At the end of the monitoring, during the meeting with the institution's management staff, ANQA’s specialists summarised the key outcomes, highlighting the best practices and areas for enhancement.
