The site visit to the Crisis Management State Academy of MES RA started within the institutional accreditation process. On May 15-18 the expert panel of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance will carry out an external review of the Crisis Management State Academy of MES RA.
The chairman of the expert panel is Gagik Ktryan, head of the Quality Assurance and Analysis division of the Military Aviation Institute named after Marshal Armenak Khanperyants. The other members of the expert panel are Yuliya Dubrovskaya, deputy head of training and methodology center of the Federal State Budget Education Institution for Higher Vocational Training Saint-Petersburg University of State Firefighting Service of the Ministry of Russian Federation for Civil Defense Affairs, Emergencies and Liquidation of Consequences of Natural Disasters, certified expert of the Federal Service of Monitoring in the field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation; Suren Danielyan, Associate professor at the department of applied sports at ASIPCS, senior specialist of rescue training; Sona Sargsyan, Associate professor at the department of ENT Diseases at YSMU, and Misha Tadevosyan, student at ASPU. The coordinator of the process is Anushavan Makaryan, head of ANQA institutional and program accreditation division.
During the site visit the experts will have meetings and discussions with the rector of CMA of MES RA, the representatives of MES who coordinate the Academy activities, the vice rectors, the team which carried out self-assessment report, representatives of employers as well as with deans, heads of chairs, heads of the reviewed 3 academic programs, teaching staff, QA specialists, students and representatives of student organizations. The expert panel will also review the documents and the resources, and will visit the Academy base in Lusakert.
Before the site visit, the expert panel had explored CMA of MES RA self-assessment report and documents, had reviewed 3 academic programs. Based on the preliminary results, the expert panel had carried out a desk review against each of 10 criteria of institutional accreditation.
After the site visit, the expert panel will sum up the results and make a report mentioning strengths and weaknesses of the CMA of MES RA. The report will contain also recommendations for further improvement. CMA of MES RA based on the experts' report will draw a follow-up plan.
The last stage of the procedure will be the decision making of ANQA accreditation Committee.
