On October 15, ANQA carried out monitoring of the internal quality assurance system at the Yerevan State Theatre and Film Institute (YSTFI).
During the visit, meeting discussions were held with the institution’s rector, vice rectors, heads of chairs, teachers, students and quality assurance managers.
An emphasis was placed on the monitoring and enhancement of the education institution’s academic programmes, current best practice and challenges.
A reference was made to the annual planning and highlights of the quality assurance processes, data collection through quality assurance activities and subsequent decision-making process.
Discussions covered the following issues:
- the planning and effective organisation of the academic programmes’ internal audit;
- the peculiarities of defining and ensuring outcomes in art professions;
- the practical skills-building assignments and formative assessment;
- the importance and peculiarities of research in the field of art.
A meeting with the education institution’s management staff concluded the monitoring, identifying the best practices and areas in need for enhancement.
It should be noted that in 2016 and 2023, ANQA’s Accreditation Commission granted the education institution an institutional accreditation for a period of four years.
