"Students’ Voice" project launched another training session for student experts — this time in an online format — promoting the participation of regional HEIs’ students as well.
Meri Barseghyan, the coordinator of the "Students’ Voice" project, welcomed the participants and presented the history and functions of the project and the formats of students' involvement in the processes of education quality assurance.
The training participants shared the motivation for their participation. It is noteworthy that by joining the project, most of the students want to get relevant skills and knowledge to carry out reforms in their educational institutions and in the field of education in general.
During the first session the following issues were discussed:
What is education quality? What does accreditation give education institutions? How is the process organized? Who are experts and what qualities they should possess?
In the next sessions, students will examine any education institution’s self-evaluation to gain insight into the desk review process. They will get acquainted with the accreditation criteria and observe the self-evaluation as an example from the perspective of compliance with the accreditation criteria. They will also draw hypotheses about the educational institution and prepare for site visits through roleplays.
Within the scope of the training, students will also get the opportunity to have discussions with ANQA’s specialists about the peculiarities and existing challenges of education quality assurance.
