During May 2-5, ANQA’s expert panel was at Mesrop Mashtots University within the framework of the accreditation processes.
The chair of the expert panel is Lilit Badalyan, head of the Chair of Linguistics and Communication Theory, Candidate of Philological Sciences. The members of the expert panel are Lilit Zakaryan, director of ANAU’s Quality Assurance Center, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Mariam Gevorgyan, a teacher at the Faculty of Informatics and Applied Mathematics of the French University in Armenia, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Alla Sargsyan, first-year Master’s student at the Faculty of Economics, Gavar State University.
The international expert is Inna Pomorina, lecturer at Bath Spa University, UK, Doctor of Economics.
Meetings were held with the members of the Board of Trustees, rector, vice-rector, deans, the self-evaluation team, quality assurance specialists, heads of subdivisions, employers, alumni, heads of chairs, the academic programme responsibles, representatives of academic staff members, students, from different faculties, representatives of the Student Council and Student Scientific Society. The expert panel also had “professional talks” with academic programme responsibles, teachers and students of the APs "Law ", " Caucasus Studies ", and "English Language and Literature".
The work of ANQA’s expert panel was coordinated by Anahit Utmazyan, head of the Secretariat. The next process coming after the expert panel’s site visit is the preparation of the expert panel report, which points out the HEI’s strengths and weaknesses and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision by studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the HEI’s representatives and experts.
