From October 31 – November 3, within the scope of the accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at Yerevan State College of Humanities.
The chair of the expert panel is Menua Soghomonyan, Associate Professor at the Chair of Political Institutions and Processes of YSU. Other members of the expert panel are Christine Hakobyan, head of the Human Resource Department of Kotayk Regional State College, tourism teacher, Narine Sirakanyan, a participant in the programme "iGorts" of the Education Inspectorate Artur Davtyan, a student at Applied Statistics and Data Science Department of YSU.
The coordinator of the expert panel is Anahit Terteryan, a specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
On the first day of the site visit, meetings were held with the College’s director and deputy directors, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, the Governing Council, employers and alumni.
In the following days, the experts will continue the meeting discussions with the College’s other stakeholders. They will also conduct class observations and resource observations.
ANQA has included special “professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff and students of the academic programmes in the series of meetings with the stakeholders in accordance with ANQA’s policy. During the meetings with stakeholders, the entire trajectory of the preparation of a specialist is observed through the assignments given to students, class observations, internships, and study of graduation papers meeting discussions. Within the scope of the institutional accreditation of the Yerevan State College of Humanities, the expert panel will have “professional talks” with the managers, teachers and students of the APs "Preschool Education", "Tourism with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language", " Management: Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language ".
The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the College’s strengths and weaknesses and contains the recommendations of the expert panel.
ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the College’s representatives and experts.
