On October 18, ANQA held a meeting with representatives from 16 VET institutions scheduled for state-funded institutional accreditation in 2026. The meeting discussions covered the accreditation process, its phases and timelines, as well as clarified the accreditation schedule for each institution.
It was stated that ANQA will organise trainings and workshops to provide clarity on the self-evaluation and accreditation processes for VET institutions as needed.
A reference was made to the self-evaluation process, emphasising that self-evaluation should:
- be data-driven and analytical;
- demonstrate the VET institutions’ enhancement activities and current outcomes;
- highlight the VET institutions’ strengths and weaknesses within each criterion;
- present the results of the academic programmes’ internal evaluation.
In the case of reaccreditation, the results of the follow-up plan’s implementation should also be provided.
The ensurance of the above-mentioned requirements will contribute to a more effective external review process and enable the expert panel to prepare more targeted recommendations.
A reference was also made to the changes in the Accreditation Statute. The issues raised by the institutions’ representatives were discussed as well.
