On January 9-12, within the scope of the re-accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia.
The chair of the expert panel is Hermine Grigoryan, dean at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vanadzor State University after Hovhannes Tumanyan, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. The members of the expert panel are Sona Makichyan, deputy dean for Science and International Cooperation at the Faculty of Educational Psychology and Sociology, Associate Professor at the Chair of Developmental and Pedagogical Psychology, Candidate of Psychological Sciences of ASPU, Gurgen Hovhannisyan, a leading specialist at the Department of Scientific Policy of YSU, acting chair at Department of Tourism Management and Culturology of Ijevan Branch, YSU, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor. The student expert is Marine Karapetyan, a second-year student at the Faculty of Law of Eurasia International University. Michesław Sokha, a professor at the University of Warsaw, Candidate in Economic Sciences, is included in the accreditation process as an international expert.
The coordinator of the expert panel is Varduhi Gyulazyan, head of the Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
On the first day of the site visit, meetings will be held with the PAA’s rector, vice-rectors, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, representatives of the Board, alumni, and employers.
During the following days, the experts will continue discussions with the PAA’s other stakeholders. Within the scope of the process, “professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Public Administration", "Psychology of management" and "Law" are also planned.
The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the HEI and contains the recommendations of the expert panel.
ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the HEI’s representatives and experts.
Let us note that the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia was granted institutional accreditation in 2020, for a period of two years.
