On March 27, ANQA conducted a monitoring of the internal quality assurance system at the Shirak Regional State College. Within the scope of the monitoring, meetings were held with the College’s management staff, heads of chairs, teachers, students, and managers of quality assurance. The monitoring aimed to observe the enhancement processes that took place after the institutional accreditation.
During the meetings with internal stakeholders, the following issues were discussed:
- education institution’s directions of strategic development and existing challenges;
- mechanisms for planning and accountability;
- approaches to the selection of teaching and learning methods;
- policy and criteria for students’ assessment;
- role of the internal quality assurance system in the identification of the education institution’s needs, and data collection mechanisms.
At the end of the monitoring, during the meeting with the management staff of the institution, the main outcomes of the monitoring and directions for enhancement were summarized. Let us note that the College was granted conditional accreditation in 2021, for a period of two years.
