On March 24, ANQA conducted monitoring at the Yerevan State Technological College. During the monitoring, meetings were held with the education institution’s director and vice directors, heads of chairs, teachers, and students.
At the meetings with the education institution’s internal stakeholders, the following issues were discussed:
- the College’s strategic directions and development challenges;
- the KPIs and data collection tools;
- the grounds for the introduction of quality assurance mechanisms;
- the importance of planning teachers’ professional training;
- the possibilities of financial diversification;
- the needs and possibilities for the replenishment of the material-technical base and resources;
- the experience of cooperation with employers and other colleges.
The College has not passed institutional accreditation yet. Due to this circumstance, the monitoring aimed to collect data on the College’s processes and best practices. At the end of the monitoring, during the meeting with the education institution’s management staff, the main outcomes of the monitoring and the directions for enhancement were summarized.
