On November 16, ANQA conducted monitoring at the Gavar State University.
The monitoring aims to track changes resulting from the accreditation process, observe the progress and outcomes of the follow-up plan’s implementation and identify the challenges faced by the HEI.
The Gavar State University received reaccreditation for a period of four years in August 2022.
During the monitoring, meetings were held with the HEI’s rector and vice-rector, heads of chairs, teachers, students and specialists at the quality assurance centre.
The focus was on the following:
- HEI’s strategic planning processes and risk management;
- mechanisms for evaluating the efficiency of resource use;
- KPIs for the evaluation of the defined outcomes and their use in reports
- enhancements in academic programmes, clarity and measurability of the separation of the outcomes of the bachelor's and master's APs;
- assignments, teaching approaches designed to cultivate students' analytical and critical skills and ensure the achievement of the defined outcomes;
- changes in the assessment system as a result of accreditation;
- impact of enhancement processes on the competitiveness of alumni from the HEI;
- implementation of the PDCA cycle in all intra-university processes;
- actions aimed at strengthening the research component;
- strengthening of the link between learning and research;
- impact of the quality assurance system on the HEI’s governance.
At the end of the monitoring, during the meeting with the HEI’s management staff, the main outcomes of the monitoring and directions for enhancement were summarized.
