On February 20-23, within the scope of the accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at the Medical College of Gyumri "Progress" University. The chair of the expert panel is Armenuhi Mheryan, a teacher at EUA’s chair of Finance, Candidate of Economics, and Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Heghine Gevorgyan, junior scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Basic and Pathological Biochemistry, Biology Research Institute, YSU, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Gohar Sargsyan, quality assurance manager at Yerevan State Basic Medical College, Milena Mirzoyan, a student at Ararat Regional State College. The coordinator of the expert panel is Anahit Terteryan, a specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division. On the first day of the site visit, meetings were held with the education institution’s rector, vice-directors, vice-rector for educational activities, heads of subdivisions, and other employees, as well as the group responsible for self-evaluation, alumni, and employers. During the next days, the experts held meetings and discussions with other stakeholders of the education institution and conducted class observations and resource observations.
Today, as part of the process, the expert panel held “professional talks” with the managers, teachers, and students of the APs "Dental Technology", "Pharmacy" and "Nursing".
The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the education institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the institution’s representatives and experts. Let us note that the Medical College of Gyumri "Progress" University is in the accreditation process for the first time, on its own initiative.
