On March 27-30, within the scope of institutional accreditation, ANQA’s expert panel will conduct a site visit to the Medical College Named after Pharmacist-Artist Levon Sargsyan. The chair of the expert panel is Heghine Gevorgyan, a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Microbiology, Bioenergetics and Biotechnology, Biology Research Institute, YSU, Candidate of Biological Sciences. Members of the expert panel are Lilit Abelyan, manager of quality assurance at the Kotayk Regional State College, Lusine Chobanyan, a teacher at the Chair of Therapeutic Stomatology, Armenian Medical Institute, Marine Nadoyan, a second-year student at the Yerevan Base Medical College. On the first day, the expert panel had meetings with the College’s director, vice directors, members of the group responsible for self-evaluation, alumni and employers. The coordinator of the expert panel is Rosa Babayan, the specialist at ANQA’s Policy Development and Implementation Division.
For the next few days, meetings are planned with the College’s stakeholders. Furthermore, as part of the process, the expert panel will hold “professional talks” with the managers, teachers, and students of the APs "Nursing", "Dental Technology" and "Cosmetics and Makeup Art".
The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the education institution’s strengths and weaknesses and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives, and experts.
