On November 18-20, as part of the institutional accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel conducts external review at the Lori Regional State College.
The chair of the expert panel is Lilit Abelyan, quality assurance manager at the Kotayk Regional State College. The members of the expert panel are Susanna Pichikyan, teacher at the Shirak Regional State College, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Oleg Gevorgyan, deputy director for Science, Technological Cooperation and External Relations at the Institute of Information and Telecommunication Technologies and Electronics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, Artak Khachatryan, student at the European University of Armenia.
The process coordinator is Liana Alaverdyan, a specialist ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached and carried out a desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel conducted class observations and resource observation. The panel had meetings with the education institution's management staff, alumni, employers and members of the governing council.
Meetings with the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, teachers, heads of chairs, students, the quality assurance manager and other stakeholders are also planned.
In addition, "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Technical Maintenance of Computing Equipment and Computer Networks", "Organisation of Tourist Services with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language" and "Clothing Manufacturing Technology" are set to take place.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
Let us note that in 2021, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee granted the Lori Regional State College conditional institutional accreditation for a period of two years.
