German, French, Finnish, Georgian and Armenian mathematician lecturers will discuss the modernization of Mathematics curricula on March 14-16, in Yerevan.
Within the TEMPUS MathGeAR project, a conference will be held on Modernization of mathematics curricula for engineering and natural sciences in South Caucasian Universities by introducing modern educational technologies. The organizers of the conference are Armenian National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation and Yerevan State University.
During the three-day conference an overview of MathGeAr goals, activities, and progress, comparative analysis of technical math education in EU, Georgia, and Armenia will be done. The participants will discuss the modernization of math courses for CS Specialties in Georgian and Armenian universities, also evaluation of the individual experience of Georgian and Armenian students studying in the EU will be made. There will be also training on Math-bridge usage.
Math-Bridge is the first Pan-European e-Learning platform for online bridging courses in mathematics. Within MathGeAr project, the on-line platform soon will be enriched with Armenian and Georgian content.
MathGeAr is a three-year TEMPUS project. The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of STEM education in the South Caucasian region by modernizing and improving the curricula in the field of Mathematics.
