During May 17-18, the first meeting of the second stage of the Bologna Thematic Peer Group on Quality Assurance took place in Leuven, Belgium. Varduhi Gyulazyan head of ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division participated in the meeting as a RA representative.
During the meeting, the Bologna Process Implementation Report (2020-2024) was presented. It highlighted the Bologna Signatory countries’ achievements and challenges in quality assurance. The upcoming works, the programmes and the areas of activities of the Bologna Thematic Peer Group on Quality Assurance were also discussed.
The issues on the digitalization of the quality assurance system, localization of the Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG), the introduction of an internal quality assurance system and quality culture were at the core of the parallel panel discussions. During the meetings, the Signatory Countries presented their challenges and good practice on the core issues.
On the second day of the meeting, the representatives of the participating countries exchanged practice and took steps to expand the scope of cooperation.
