On October 24-25, ENQA General Assembly took place in Malta. ANQA participated as an ENQA member, represented by Director Ruben Topchyan and Head of the Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division Varduhi Gyulazyan. The event aimed to develop new approaches to quality assurance in higher education, contributing to the modernisation of the HEI systems and supplementing the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
The following key topics were the main focus:
- QA of research – Studies and discussions were presented on how to ensure the scientific research quality in HEIs.
- Future priorities for ENQA – The members discussed ENQA's next strategy focused on the key priorities for the field development, with approval expected by 2025.
- Agency cooperation – Discussions covered examples of successful cooperation between quality assurance agencies in various countries for the exchange of best practices.
ANQA Director and ENQA Board Member Ruben Topchyan led a panel discussion on "Digitalisation and Data-Driven Quality Assurance". The discussion focused on how digital technologies can contribute to the enhancement of quality assurance systems, how AI can be applied in the QA system, and why the digitalisation of QA processes is important.
