On December 2-4, as part of the institutional accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel conducts external review at the Goris State Agricultural College after Professor Kh. Yeritsyan.
The chair of the expert panel is Gayane Avetisyan, head of the Quality Assurance Department of the State University of Shirak, Candidate of Geographical Sciences, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Narine Sirakanyan, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, head of the Teachers’ Professional Development Department of the National Center for Education Development and Innovation Foundation, Narine Hovhannisyan, teacher at the Armenian National Agrarian University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Angelina Tonoyan, student of the AP "Organization of Tourisy Services with Advanced Knowledge of a Foreign Language" at the Kotayk Regional State College.
The coordinator of the expert panel is Anahit Terteryan, specialist at ANQA’s Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached and carried out desk review.
As part of the external review, the expert panel conducted resource observation. The panel had meetings with the education institution's management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, employers, members of the governing council, teachers, and heads of chairs.
Meetings with students, alumni, quality assurance manager and other stakeholders, as well as class observations are also planned.
In addition, "professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Milk and Dairy Products Technology", "Veterinary Medicine" and "Agricultural Mechanisation" are set to take place.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
Let us note that in 2021, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee granted the Goris State Agricultural College after Professor Kh. Yeritsyan conditional institutional accreditation for a period of 2 years.
