On September 16–18, as part of the institutional accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel conducts external review at the Gavar State Agricultural College after Academician Tamamshev.
The chair of the expert panel is Armen Harutyunyan, vice rector at the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema, Candidate of Arts, Associate Professor. The members of the expert panel are Narine Hovhannisyan, teacher at the Armenian National Agrarian University, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Elena Martirosyan, deputy director for educational activities at the French-Armenian Vocational Education Center, Inga Harutyunyan, student of the AP "Pharmacy" at the Ararat Regional State College.
The coordinator of the process is Haykuhi Barseghyan, ANQA’s responsible for public relations.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached and carried out desk review.
On the first day of the site visit, meetings were held with the education institution’s management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation, alumni and employers. Meetings are planned with the heads of chairs, the quality assurance manager, teachers, students and other stakeholders. The expert panel will conduct class observations and review resource observations. "Professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Veterinary Medicine", "Milk and Dairy Products Technology", "Transport Organization and Management in Transport" will take place as well.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation (for two, four or six years) or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
It should be noted that in 2021 , the Gavar State Agricultural College after Academician Tamamshev was granted conditional institutional accreditation for a period of two years.
