Four agricultural colleges are undergoing institutional accreditation. The process is coordinated by ANQA.
On January 12-18th the expert panels will conduct an external evaluation at the Vanadzor State Agricultural College, Goris State Agricultural College after prof. Kh. Yeritsyan, Stepanavan State Agricultural College after prof. A. Kalantaryan, Gavar State Agricultural College after Academician Tamamshev.
During the site visit, the experts will have meetings with college administration, lecturers, QA specialists, employees of the career center, self-assessment implementation team, representatives of students, graduates and employers. They will also review the documents and resources.
After the site-visit, the experts will make a report highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of the college and will make recommendations for enhancement. Each college will develop a follow-up plan based on experts’ recommendations. The last stage of the process will be the decision of the Accreditation Committee.
The accreditation of 4 agricultural colleges is implemented within the EU funded “Better qualifications for better jobs” project. Earlier ANQA has supported the colleges to introduce a quality assurance system and get ready for accreditation. The representatives of the colleges have been trained both by ANQA and by Bulgarian specialist Patricia Georgieva, who was in Armenia within the EU funded project.
