On December 20, ANQA conducted online monitoring of the Vayots Dzor Regional State College. The goal was to find out the accreditation impact on the education institution's quality assurance system and educational processes, the implementation of the institution's follow-up plan, recorded achievements and existing problems.
The Vayots Dzor Regional State College received conditional institutional accreditation in August 2022.
During the online monitoring, meeting discussions were held with the education institution’s management staff, teachers, students and quality assurance managers.
The discussion focused on the following:
- the tool-set for data-based decision-making;
- the mechanisms for ensuring the recruitment and sustainability of the teaching staff;
- the policy for ensuring teachers’ professional progress and training;
- the implementation of the PDCA cycle in the institution’s management and education organisation;
- the cooperation with employers, arrangement of internships in the employer's environment;
- the modernization of academic programmes, their adaptation to the needs of the region and the labour market;
- the assignments designed to develop students' analytical and critical skills, as well as their KPIs.
At the end of the monitoring, during the meeting with the education institution’s management staff, ANQA’s specialists presented the institution’s good practice and problematic areas, indicating directions for enhancement.
