On November 2-7, the expert panel with the coordination of ANQA implements external evaluation at European University.
Note, that European University received conditional accreditation for 2 years in 2018. Now the University is in the process of re-accreditation.
The external evaluation will be conducted online because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Meetings will be held with the rector, vice-rectors, the self-evaluation implementation team, deans, heads of chairs, quality assurance responsible, as well as university employers, students, and alumni representatives for the expert evaluation of 10 criteria of institutional accreditation.
Among other topics, the focus will be on the implementation of the university's previous improvement plan and the current results, the operation of the university's quality management systems in emergencies, as well as the vision for the future, and the actions taken in that direction.
The expert panel chair is YSU lecturer, Ph.D. in History, associate professor Menua Soghomonyan. The other members of the expert panel are Inna Pamorina, Doctor of economics, a lecturer at Bath Spa University, Suren Parisyan, Ph.D. in economics, associate professor, a lecturer at ASUE, Nora Gevorgyan, Ph.D. in political sciences, a lecturer at Russian-Armenian University and visiting scholar at New Europe College (Romania), Larisa Harutyunyan, Ph.D. in economics, associate professor, a lecturer at Brusov State University, head of the department at Ministry of Finances, and Alla Sargsyan, students at Gavar State University.
The process coordinator is ANQA specialist Mery Barseghyan.
Before the online site-visit, the experts have reviewed the self-evaluation of the University and the results of follow-up plan implementation. The expert panel, observing the epidemiological rules, has also conducted a preliminary visit to the University to review the recourses.
Note, that ANQA has developed a procedure for online external evaluations and monitoring taking into account the local and international experience. Before the site visit, ANQA has conducted preparatory meetings with experts and University representatives for the online external evaluation process.
