On September 30, ANQA carried out a monitoring of Brusov State University’s academic programmes. Within the scope of the visit, meetings were held with the University’s rector, vice-rectors, employees of its Quality Assurance Center, as well as academic staff and students of the AP "Translation Studies".
The University’s progress after the institutional accreditation, the implementation process of the follow-up plan and the upcoming steps were discussed with the University’s management staff.
The following areas were discussed:
- the University’s financial sustainability,
- the introduction of new academic programmes in line with the country's priorities,
- the change of the format of assignments given to students in a multidisciplinary environment,
- an emphasis on the research component in academic programmes,
- the conduct of teachers’ analyses on teaching approaches and methods,
- the formation of professional thinking among students,
- the necessity of the internal quality assurance department’s conduct of up-to-date studies and insurance of its application in decision-making.
The stimulation of academic programmes’ reforms and the study of alumni’s professional trajectory is one of the main directions of ANQA’s monitoring.
