A 4-month project called Capacity Building in QA of HEIs in Armenia was launched under the coordination of ANQA. The project is financed by UNESCO.
On January 18th, the kick-off meeting took place. ANQA specialists presented the goals and outcomes of the project as well as the role of each stakeholder.
The project aims at supporting the HEIs towards the reinforcement of the internal quality assurance and preparing universities for the accreditation process. As a result, HEIs will improve their self-assessment skills and strengthen the continuous enhancement of quality culture.
During the ongoing months, there will be capacity building training for stakeholders. Then the universities will conduct a SWOT analysis. Preliminary evaluation, site visit, and enhancement report will follow.
The peculiarity of the program is that specialists from the evaluated university will be included in the expert group as external evaluators. Thus, a certain circle of specialists will be formed in each university, who have seen the activities and problems of their educational institution as external evaluators. They will be involved in further enhancement processes to review and address identified issues.
Project partners are: "French University in Armenia" Foundation (UFAR), National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA), Northern University (NU), Eurasia International University (EIU).
