Director of National Centre for educational quality assurance foundation (ANQA) Ruben Topchyan received Adviser to the Director on Research affairs of European and international relations directorate of the France Ministry of Higher Education and Research Jean-Luc Clément.
Mr. Clément is in Armenia for getting acquainted with the Armenian higher education system and its peculiarities.
Mr. Topchyan introduced to the French guest the structure of ANQA, its activity and main goals. The accreditation process was discussed in details comparing with the same processes in European countries in parallel.
The ANQA director presented the peculiarities of the Armenian educational system and the main problems that are in a majority of universities.
The possibility of accreditation of transnational universities and the National qualifications framework were also discussed.
Mr. Topchyan and Klement also discussed Armenian-French cooperation perspectives in education quality assurance. Clement mentioned that they are interested in widening boards for students’ mobility. They would like French students have an opportunity to continue their education in Armenian universities and vice versa.
Both sides agreed on further steps to strengthen cooperation in the future.
