On October 1-3, as part of the institutional accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel conducts external review at the Armavir Regional State College.
The chair of the expert panel is Armenuhi Sargsyan, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor. The other members of the expert panel are Karine Mnatsakanyan, methodologist at the Yerevan Basic Medical College, Aida Dabaghyan, manager of quality assurance at the French-Armenian Vocational Education Center, Inna Melkonyan, student at the Armenian-Russian University.
The coordinator of the process is Lilit Ghazaryan, specialist at ANQA’s Secretariat.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached and carried out desk review.
During the site visit, the expert panel conducted class observations and resource observations. The expert panel also held meetings with the education institution’s management staff, the group responsible for the preparation of the self-evaluation, alumni, employers, members of the governing council, teachers, heads of chairs, and student representatives.
Meetings with quality assurance managers and stakeholders are also planned.
"Professional talks" with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Pharmacy", "Installation and Operation of Irrigation Systems" and "Transport Organisation and Management in Transport" are set to take place as well.
The process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare a follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
Next on, ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation (for two, four or six years) or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
