On November 10 and 13, ANQA held another training course for experts. The two-day course aimed to prepare experts in relevant fields for institutional accreditation processes, enabling them to analyse and identify VET institutions’ major institutional problems, good practice and provide enhancement-led recommendations.
How to make sure the qualifications awarded by education institutions are credible and what hinders the preparation of specialists ready to enter the labour market? These were the key issues addressed in the training.
For the credible award of qualifications, importance was attached to:
- the involvement of employer teachers in education institutions;
- the use of joint resources with employers;
- the internships shaping professional capacities aligned with the needs of the labour market;
- the compliance of student assignments with the Aps’ outcomes;
- tracking the alumni’s trajectory and implementing the Aps’ reforms accordingly.
As a result of the training, the participants:
- got acquainted with the accreditation process and the peculiarities of the expert work;
- tried to evaluate the education institutions’ compliance with accreditation criteria;
- learnt to formulate questions and render judgments in accordance with the education institutions’ peculiarities and needs;
- organized recommendations based on the identified needs.
Let us note that ANQA’s training courses for experts are conducted on a regular basis.
