The founding meeting on the establishment of the "International Association for Education" Armenian-Georgian NGO was held in Tbilisi. During the meeting, the charter, strategic plan, and Activity plan were approved.
The main goals of IntAE are to evaluate instructive-methodological materials and professional skills related to the sphere of education; to conduct research studies related to the field of education and disseminate them among respective stakeholders; to provide students with decent professional orientation and consulting; to design respective documents and instructive-methodological materials aimed at the development of professional skills and overall enhancement of educationalists and etc..
Director of ANQA Ruben Topchyan is a co-founder of the NGO and board member.
During the meeting questions related to the launch of an internationally peer-reviewed journal, “Quality in Tertiary Education” were discussed.
On the second day, the dissemination conference of the TEMPUS MAHATMA Project took place. MAHATMA project coordinators in ANQA Varduhi Gyulazyan and Arusyak Harutyunyan presented ANQA activities and achievements within the project. In particular, they touched upon the programme audit of “Education management” academic programme in 4 Armenian universities and participation in 4 processes in Georgian universities.
MAHATMA (Master in Higher Education Management: Developing Leaders for Managing Educational Transformation) is a three-year multi-country joint project.
MAHATMA'S wider objective is to promote the transformation of higher education management in Armenia and Georgia through the introduction of a new Master's programme/professional development courses in higher education management.
