On May 30- 31, Ruben Topchyan, ANQA’s director and Anahit Terteryan, a specialist at the Institutional and Programme Accreditation Division, participated in the Peer Review of Montenegro’s Quality Assurance System organized by the ETF (European Training Foundation).
ANQA representatives acted as external evaluators of the quality assurance system. Prior to the main two-day visits, participants had conducted preliminary studies and one online meeting with partners to learn about Montenegro's legal regulations, quality assurance system and newly introduced methodology.
The purpose of the peer review was to receive feedback on the effectiveness of the newly introduced quality assurance methodology from agencies with experience in the field.
During the two-day visit, discussion meetings were held with the head of the Quality Assurance Center of Montenegro, the Director of the Bureau for Educational Services, VETs’ directors and the experts conducting an external evaluation in the country. As a result of the visits, the quality assurance system’s strengths and weaknesses and possibilities for enhancement were revealed.
Such partnership meetings promote the exchange of experience and the establishment of new partnerships. It is not ruled out that in the near future ANQA will also apply to the European Training Foundation for a peer review in Armenia.
