On September 9-10, ANQA conducted the regular training for VET experts. The employees from the HEIs and VET institutions participated in the two-day course.
The training covered the following issues:
- the peculiarities of the expert work and site visits to the VET institutions;
- the preparation of questions by experts and collection of applicable information;
- the development of targeted and actionable enhancement-led recommendations;
- the principles of preparing an expert panel report.
It was emphasized that the experts should be able to:
- establish a cooperative environment in the VET institutions;
- ensure the credibility of the received information, cross-checking multiple sources;
- observe the VET institutions’ activities in terms of strategic and data-driven management and credible award of qualifications.
As part of the training, the experts studied the data of a given VET institution and conducted a simulated site visit to gain an objective picture of the institution's activities and provide enhancement-led recommendations.
The trained specialists will be included in the ANQA’s expert pool and later take part in the accreditation processes.
