Ruben Topchyan, director of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance (ANQA) and Lemka Izmailova, Director of the Russian federal state budget institution National Accreditation Agency (NAA) signed a cooperation agreement.
With the signing, the parties agreed on cooperation and interaction in the field of quality assurance in higher education in the European area.
According to the document the joint efforts of the parties will be aimed at enhancing the quality of higher education in the European area; facilitating mutual trust and recognition of mobility within and across national borders; analyzing international practice in the development of quality assurance in higher education; setting up a common framework for the quality assurance systems of teaching and learning on the European, national and institutional levels and e.t c.
ANQA and NAA in the framework of cooperation will organize collaborative seminars, conferences, workshops, meetings, etc.; establish workgroups on different cooperation areas to achieve some specific goals; make an exchange of experts for external audits/site visits; disseminate good practice of cooperation.
The agreement was signed in the framework of a two-day international seminar on «International cooperation of quality assurance agencies as a mechanism for education quality enhancement» which was held in Moscow on June 21-22th.
During the seminar the participants discussed the new approaches to the quality of professional education, the best practice solutions for quality assurance in Europe was presented, Quality of the education from the students’ view was discussed. Bologna process and the European Higher Education Area and European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education were also a subject of discussion.
The participants had also roundtable discussions on internal and external quality assurance of education. ANQA director Ruben Topchyan presented Armenia’s practice.
