On September 18-21, within the scope of the accreditation process, ANQA’s expert panel is at Abovyan Multifunctional State College.
The chair of the expert panel is Lilit Zakaryan, Candidate of Historical Sciences, director at the Quality Assessment and Assurance Center of the Armenian National Agrarian University. The members of the group are Lilit Abelyan, head of Internal Quality Assurance Center of the Kotayk Regional State College, Marine Galubyan, accountant at Sanare-Pharm LTD, Robert Grigoryan, a fourth-year student at the Department of Computing for Software and Automated Systems of the French College in Armenia.
The coordinator of the expert panel is Lilit Ghazaryan, specialist at ANQA’s Secretariat.
Prior to the site visit, the expert panel had studied the education institution's self-evaluation report, the documents attached and carried out desk review.
On the first day of the site visit, the expert panel had meetings with the education institution’s management staff and the group responsible for the preparation of self-evaluation report. During the site visit, meetings will also take place with students, alumni, representatives of employers and other stakeholders.
Within the scope of the process, “professional talks” with the managers, teaching staff, and students of the Aps "Banking", "Design" and "Clerical Work with Profound Knowledge of Foreign Language" are also planned.
The next process coming after the site visit is the preparation of an expert panel report, which points out the strengths and weaknesses of the institution and contains the recommendations of the expert panel. Based on that report, the education institution will prepare follow-up plan with a clear schedule.
ANQA’s Accreditation Committee will make a decision whether to grant accreditation (for two, four or six years) or reject it after studying the package of documents and holding meetings with the education institution’s representatives and experts.
Let us note that this is the first accreditation of the Abovyan Multifunctional State College.
