Today Ruben Topchyan, director of the National Center for Professional Education Quality Assurance Foundation (ANQA) and Sholpan Kalanova, president of the Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency in Education (IQAA), signed a memorandum of cooperation in Yerevan, Armenia.
With signing the memorandum the parties agreed on cooperation in the following areas- ensure transparency in European Higher Education Area and in the activities of international organizations in the field of independent accreditation on a global level; share experience in the field of procedures and mechanisms of accreditation in higher education institutions with a focus on accreditation of universities and colleges; promote cooperation through participation of ANQA agency`s employee in Accreditation Council of IQAA; promote cooperation in accreditation by exchange and training of experts; cooperate in conducting workshops, conferences, roundtables aimed at improving the system of quality assurance including both parties, focused on accreditation of Parties; consult on improvement of standards and criteria of the Institutional and Specialized (Program) Accreditation; mutually represent the accreditation-related interests at national and international levels and support promotion of partners.
Mr. Topchyan and Mrs. Kalanova highlighted the memorandum between ANQA and IQAA and expressed confidence that it will become the basis for mutual cooperation and best practice exchange.
Before signing the document, the two parties also discussed the peculiarities of the accreditation process and the relevant legislation in both countries, gained practice and achievements.
