A meeting with the directors and responsible for internal quality assurance of 12 regional state colleges took place in ANQA. During the meeting the details of pilot institutional accreditation were discussed, also further steps were agreed.
Prior to the process, employees of state colleges had had a training course in ANQA. Afterward, the IQA system in colleges was established. Now regional state colleges have made self-assessment and presented to ANQA. The next phase of the process will be an expert panel site visit to each educational institution. At the end of the process, the colleges will make follow-up plans based on the expert reports and advice and start its implementation.
During the pilot accreditation review will be made based on two criteria: academic programs and teaching staff.
As a result of pilot accreditation, the colleges will get ready for full accreditation, also experts’ base for vocational educational institutions will be formed.
